I believe there's no difference:
$ man rcs2cl
[...]
-h HOSTNAME
Use HOSTNAME in change log entries (default current host).
Before it was 'eleven', now it is another machine name. That sounds
consistent.
As for the author, I get 'sparkyx' and not 'author'.
Maybe you need to use http://www.red-bean.com/cvs2cl/ instead.
