==== Description: ====
pink is a programming language written in C for portability
with no dependencies except standard C libraries. it's also a research in
multiparadigm languages (imperative, functional, object-oriented,
prototype-based, rule-based) and embedded systems. Code size is about 10K
lines, binary is < 64kb. No use of bison/flex.
Reminiscent of:
- TCL, everything is a string
- Scheme, high order functions, simple minimalist core
- Lua, useful for embedded systems, also for games scripting
- Python, with batteries included
- Lisp, map.. reduce.. lambda calculus...
- Leda (budd): relations, linked items.
pink is finally a playground for experimenting with programming languages: as
the main principle is KISS, it is
very easy to extend and maintain.
porting pink is usually a matter of recompiling it without source code
changes on any platform.
==== Other Software Required: ====
none
==== Other Comments: ====
Please notice, my tarball is named "Allen" because Allen was the name
intended for the language in my first implementation.
The code will be completely rewrite from scratch.
