Follow-up Comment #21, task #9148 (project administration):
When I typed 8bit characters directly, they were misinterpreted on the
listing as some kind of backslash-octal or similar. I hadn't tried HTML
entities but that's what I was going to do following the advice I got from
others. I can not test that anymore, for obvious reasons.
