Follow-up Comment #9, task #10653 (project administration): Hi Guillaume,
Please understand that we have these obnoxious requirements for a reason. A few references: * How to apply the GPL <http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html> * Savannah guide <http://savannah.gnu.org/maintenance/HowToGetYourProjectApprovedQuickly> * GNU maintainers <http://www.gnu.org/prep/maintain/html_node/Copyright-Notices.html> We are asking more of maintainers than other hosting sites such as SourceForge or github, because we are more than a hosting site: we work together for the advancement of Free software. Again, we worry so that our users and developers don't have to. Anyone should be able to pick any file they want and use it in their projects with a compatible license. If these requirements are too much for you then just let me know and I will delete your submission. When you are ready to take that little extra effort, just resubmit your project, OK? We will be happy to host it. Thanks, Alex. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/task/?10653> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
