Follow-up Comment #2, task #13200 (project administration):
I think a project on Savannah is the best way to work collaboratively on these
scripts. As you mentioned the current situation isn't optimal. To the least
this will allow Savannah Hackers and FSF sysadmins to follow the progress on
Git support for webpages.
FSF work is released under the GPL, and this code was send on the public
savannah-hackers mailing list. I don't see any issue with releasing these
files.
On a side note I expected some more motivation for a Savannah contribution
opportunity.
