Of course: Synology is a manufacturer of networked storage appliances. These
devices can run a service called DownloadStation which is essentially a
download manager that downloads remote data through various protocols (such as
bittorrent) directly to the network storage.
Interaction with that service (i.e. adding and removing download tasks)
typically happens through a web interface. Synodl allows its user to skip the
web interface and instead manage their download tasks directly from the
command line.
