Follow-up Comment #5, task #15227 (project administration): > Which files need the license notice?
All copyrightable files: text more than 10 lines long and non-text files of equivalent size. > There are images, translation files (language bundle) and property files for user settings. Is it OK to add the license notice in a README file in that directory for all files? README is a fallback for formats that don't allow such comments. Text files should contain the notices themselves. https://savannah.gnu.org/maintenance/ValidNotices/ explains these matters in detail. >> What about giving the GNU Project due credit? > How much would the extra effort be? Sorry for being unclear. We require that hosted packages use "GNU/Linux" rather than "Linux" for the operating system. This wasn't always the case in the tarball you submitted. > The program was developed on OpenJDK (IcedTea) I see, this must be sufficient. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <https://savannah.nongnu.org/task/?15227> _______________________________________________ Message sent via Savannah https://savannah.nongnu.org/
