David Baelde commented on LS-533:
---------------------------------

I'm still not sure about what to propose. Two thoughts:
 * Why have a different (dynamic) plugin directory than the library directory?
Loading .liq and .c*mo isn't so different. This would simplify things
conceptually. Do we want to have something like %load "*.cm*a" in
pervasives.liq, though?
 * Otherwise you idea of having --list-operators isn't so bad, it just needs
clarifications. First, I'd rather have --list-API than operators (this term is
getting old and imprecise). Second, this should not display formats, metadata
formats, playlist formats, etc. those could have a specific command.

> I should have seen it before: we now have a name clash with plugins:
> --list-plugins-xml
> List all plugins (builtin scripting values, supported formats and
> protocols), output as XML.
> --list-plugins
> List all plugins (builtin scripting values, supported formats and
> protocols).
> --plugins-dir
> Directory where to look for plugins.
> I am in favour of renaming the first two to --list-operators(..) or
> --list-whatheveryouthinkisnice. I think plugins should now be reserved for..
> plugins :)
