Hi mccurly,

You now have the permissions to edit the wiki. [Context for
savonet-dev: mccurly is starting a wiki page for users' snippets, and
more generally try to initiate a more collaborative documentation
effort.]

I suggest that the page mentions two possibilities: moderation by you,
through mail, or direct edit of the wiki, after creating an account
and obtaining permissions (through me). Direct edit might be good for
other advanced users like you, who should be encouraged to contribute
a lot.

Sourceforge provides web hosting, we also have a few personal servers.
However, in both cases setting up a wiki takes some administration
time (I know it sounds easy at first, but it gets tiring when you have
to deal with upgrades, compatibility, spam, etc). If it turns out that
not so many people contribute to the wiki, we might also add everybody
to the development team so you can edit the doc directly (it's almost
as simple as a wiki). Anyway, let's start this experiment on the JIRA
wiki and see how it goes first!

Cheers,

All of the data generated in your IT infrastructure is seriously valuable.
Why? It contains a definitive record of application performance, security
threats, fraudulent activity, and more. Splunk takes this data and makes
sense of it. IT sense. And common sense.
