This bug might be related to #204 which I'm on a good way to fix. I'll
test if it helps here. However, the way I understand bug #204 it should
not happen before rev5652 ,i.e., May 2008, release 0.3.7... so it's
unclear.
By the way, I would normalize right after the playlist, not after the
crossfade. But that shouldn't affect the blank that you hear. Also, mksafe
is playing blank when the source becomes unavailable, which creates a
doubt: do you hear blank produced by smartcross (or even playlist) or do
you hear the unavailability. You can play a sine during the unavailability
to find out.
