Funny that only this one does not work.. did "liquidsoap -r" take very long?

What you can try to do is to trace all requests, blindly. Don't restrict yourself to "alive" requests, you would not see the failed ones. However the output of "alive" can give you a hint of what RID were allocated. Our strategy is to give IDs in increasing order: 1, 2, 3... and not reclaim ID of dead requests until there is none left. For example, if 1, 2 and 3 are created and 1 and 3 fail, you will see only 2 in "alive", and the next request will have ID 4. Sorry for the fuzzy procedure. It should be doable, especially if you can reproduce your problem with a simpler script.
