I think you need our mix() operator. It's a mixing table controllable via telnet, and the liGuidsoap GUI for more convenience. Note that it starts with all inputs shut, then you have to activate one by telnet, and when you want to play another one it's also a matter of two other commands. Keep in mind that you can define compound server commands from your script, and also execute such commands.
You could also try a track insensitive switch with some dynamic condition, checking something via a system call or checking the value of an interactive.int/float(). But it's an active checking solution, a bit dirty..
