Hi, it's me again ;)
My last mails seem to be scrubbed because of sending in HTML. I am sorry
for that.
I am wondering, how I can handle variables.
I'd like to do the following:
* define a string-variable and fill it with a system-output (the
date and time)
* define another string-variable and fill it with an other output
(metadata)
* combine these two variables to one
* output the results to stdout and a file
the result should be something like this:
19.08.2009 11:13 - artist - title
By now I have the output of the date and the output of metadata.
Unfortunately both are in their own line, but I want both outputs to be
in one line.
The only way I can imagine is to work with variables.
Absolutely great would be, if somebody tells me, how to build something
like an if-condition.
So I can build an log, which handles different metadata from different
broadcasting-programs
I am sorry for this basic question, but I couldn't find anything useful
so far.
And the style of Liquidsoap as a functional programming language (as far
I have read) is so different to my experiences with imperative
programming languages.
Thank you for your interest
Chricken
