Output.sdl is back. But not yet crossfade, and hence utils.liq is still not OK. Yes that's a kind of thing we've been doing. In 0.9.2 (but not yet in SVN) you could add a logo on a video stream (using add and a static image), and you could have a scrolling text. TBT might be fun to implement at some point, too (we should try to have enough operators so that you could script a TBT support on top of them).
