Hi all,

Got a slight problem and was wondering if anyone had come across it before.

I'm streaming to an icecast server (script:
http://pastebin.com/mbf3dd14) and the audio is really slow. (Like when
you put a 45 on at 33, but worse.)

I suspect it might be to do with alsa. It works fine on my laptop, but
goes all slow when I run it on the production machine, which is running
ubuntu server. Also, when I use the buffered input (ie default for
alsa), it seems choppy; as if it's stitching together lots of short
sections of slow audio and losing the bits inbetween.

I'm on the irc channel (irc.freenode.org#savonet), where solvik shares
my suspicions about alsa. If anyone out there has an idea, please let me
know by either email or irc. I'd seriously appreciate your help as we're
supposed to be running a test day tomorrow. (I'll obviously give you bit
props on air and on the website!)

Thanks,
Tom
