We never said it was stable, we said it was a (development) snapshot
:p If you're not scare (and don't use external decoders) then why
don't you switch to SVN? It should be as good as 0.9.2, you just have
to work a bit to adapt your script. And if you do that for us (we need
testers) then I'll do something for you in return :)

It's impossible for a source to know what it means to prepare "only a
few seconds in advance", because it is the operator above that source
who knows when to play. This really doesn't fit the current model (and
I'm not even talking about switching predicates based on complex
functions or external scripts).

But I'll try to do as I said, a more flexible management of the
prepared queue. Also, note that we recently opened a ticket to change
reloading for playlists: Sam had the good idea to reload when change
is detected (using libnotify).
