Hi,

I finally managed to get an output.icecast.vorbis stream
-- sort of -- about 2 secs of truncated sound (test playlists
about 3 mins). [I'm a 26k dialup user]

The resultant stereo stream (as reported in Icecast2 Status & XMMS):

Bitrate: 96 kbps (instead of the encoded 32 kbps)
Audio: quality=2, samplerate=44100, channels=2
(instead of the encoded: samplerate=22050, channels=1
or 'mono')

So, maybe I have 600+ files that no dialup user will ever be able
listen to. I deliberately downmixed all files to 32 for them.

Is this a dead-end, then, since I cannot alter these settings
in output.icecast.vorbis() or in Icecast?

My question: how then do other stations manage to use mono 32 in
ogg?

Will this same obstacle occur with output.shoutcast.mp3(),
even though its settings aallow for these settings:
output.shoutcast.mp3(...bitrate=32, samplerate=22050, ...)

If there are any mono-32 users out there, I'd sure appreciate
seeing your output scripts . . .

Thanks,
Andre
