Hello David,

It's not the output that disconnects (I did set restart=true for my output) 
it's the input http stream that drops for a few seconds, then the output 
stream still stands but is silent.

What i want is that liquidsoap reconnects to the inout stream...every x 
periode... if possible.

I may be missing information from this thread but about reconnection:
 If liquidsoap is disconnected by an external problem and doesn't
 reconnect, it means you didn't set restart=true for your icecast
 output. If you're trying to get liquidsoap to automatically reconnect
 (reset) icecast outputs when the latency gets a little high (we must
 catchup XXX) checkout the root.max_latency setting
