Hi,
I have a potential bug to report as well as a (hopefully) small feature
request.
The bug report + details is available here (Icecast interprets UTF-8
characters as ISO-8859-1 on its status page):
http://dev.sourcefabric.org/browse/CC-2840
There is a screenshot available in the ticket as well, could you guys weigh
in on this issue? Should I file a bug with icecast? The LS script code is
available here if you are interested (line 78)
http://code.sourcefabric.org/browse/~tag=airtime-1.9.4-RC7/airtime/python_apps/pypo/liquidsoap_scripts/ls_script.liq?hb=true
As you can see I have set encoding="UTF-8". As noted in the JIRA ticket (and
screenshot), this only happens for icecast %mp3 streams, not for %vorbis.
This exists for both Liquidsoap beta2 and beta3.
As for the feature request, one of our new developers has been working
extensively with Liquidsoap and has asked if an error callback for attempted
connections is available for output.icecast. I see that there is on_connect
and on_disconnect, but I don't see anything related to callback on
connection errors. Perhaps there is a different way to find out that there
was an error and why it happened?
Martin
