Doh....Nevermind.  This was an error on my part.  However, I do thank
you for the response, as the default encoder.encoder.export option
pointed me to the fact that the output metadata changes depending on
the input URI.  Mp3 gets 'year', while flac gets 'date' and I was
forgetting that flac indeed has different comment fields.  Also I was
using 'track' to find my metadata and it should be 'tracknumber'.
