I'd written some IRC 'bots years ago, and I think it'd be very easy to
have the 'bot simply telnet to the LS server and issue the command to
display the metadata.
The bot will have to be written for the IRC server or within an IRC
client. I don't think there's be much that'd have to be done in LS
beyond enabling telnet.
