It is good that you found a work-around. Keep it in place while we fix
this issue..

Your problem seems to be a segfault in the ocaml-faad binding, very
likely some kind of memory corruption -- which is why you see the
issue _after_ the file is played, b/c the bug is triggered by the
garbage collector.

It would be very nice if you could fill-up a ticket in our bug tracker there:
  http://dev.sourcefabric.org/browse/LS

Please include a description of the issue, the backtraces you have
been able to grab (thanks for that!!) and, if possible, a minimalist
script that we could use to try to reproduce. If you cannot attach a
test track b/c of some copyright, please feel free to send one
off-list to my address for instance.
