HI Samuel: One problem with this approach might be that I will be updating the tracks in the "news" playlist throughout the hour. When the news.pls is played when triggered by "switch" I will get the most recently updated audio files.
news.pls contains for example: /home/news/a.ogg /home/news/b.ogg /home/news/c.ogg And I want to be able to update/replace these audio files in /home/news every hour through an external crontab script. When the switch() construct triggers, I want to play a.ogg; b.ogg; and c.ogg based on the current data in /home/news. I can leave the news.pls constant and simply update the audio files as the news changes. I am guessing that merge_tracks() performs its function once when the source is created. This would not allow for updating of the individual audio files in the news.pls playlist. Am I correct?
