I spent the bulk of the weekend looking into this, and I think its almost
possible...
My problem is I transcode to multiple streams. In order to push the
source-clients headers to each output.icecast, I'd have to use the external
proxy trick thats on the savonet site. But, each instance will reply with
a sid and timer. It would be nice to capture that, store it, and resend as
necessary, but what a pain.
I'm going to keep mucking around with it. I wish there was a simpler
solution.
I tried implementing fallback mounts in icecast but that doesn't really
help with transcoded streams, and some clients don't fallback as they
should. In fact, the fallback process falls flat on its face on iphone.
