Actually... I'm wrong about the iphone. Evidently it will follow the
fallback. I had set up the icecast server incorrectly."
Current config:
url:port/radio is fed by a ls script that just plays random music and
jingles. it is the fallback for:
url:port/live which is the mount point used by dj's.
YP-directory information is in the ls script for /radio. And, it works.
/live is never listed in the directory, even though its configured to be,
and souce-clients are sending directory information.
I realize this is not a problem with ls. Consider this discussion a
sounding board (while I work through this problem)... I'm hoping some on
the list replies with "hey Ashworth, have you considered trying xxxx?"
I don't like using the fallback feature in icecast because I'm unable to
transcode and the /live mount point never shows up in the directory.
I get that I can move the /live mount point to a ls harbor and transcode to
several streams. In fact, I prefer to do that because it allows me to
process the stream prior to transcoding. However, my station is a bit
wonky, program-wise. I change the directory listing at the source client
and propagate that to each transcoded stream.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
