Yeah I found the reference a while ago, the problem is it brakes with the m4a 
when it comes to the mount point. I had it as mount=("/m4a-96.m4a")  I think. 
I'm typing this from memory. I even included the example text from the 
encoder's reference word for word and it broke. Maybe something broke in terms 
of libraries or something. This is on a linux node and the default install if 
liquid soap.
The encoder the script I made had actually was AACPlus which is what I wanted 
to use. I'll keep playing with it and refer back to the online manual since 
that's easier for me to read. 

This btw looks different then the manual I was reading 2 days ago.
