Greetings all;
I am finding it rather amusing that the subject of
Salukis has come to the board.
I have recently ordered and am eagerly awaiting
"Al-Mansur's Book of Hunting" fom 1247. Its
description says that this book is actually the only
surviving chapter of a larger, more extensive hunting
book written by an African(?) king. It also says that
much of the content regards the breding, care and
training of "Saluquis" for the hunt. Hopefully the
book will be as good as it sounds.
just my 2 cts.
Enjoy;
Madra (formerly Moruadh)
