OK, I'm going to stick my oar in here. This is a good time to admonish
everyone to read the fine print in their adoption contracts. In this day and
age, there should be no problem finding an adoption group which will allow
one to course one's dogs. If your current adoption group will not, walk away
and find another one.

They don't, however, some adoption groups require those who adopt to sign a
waiver stating they will NEVER course their hounds. If they do, the hounds
can be removed from their care.

I had to chastise our newly-crowned King (at His Coronation, yet) about
this. :)

However, I am aware of at least one time that some spectators, who were
not associated with us at all, were making some side bets.

And, personally, I like having a hound person on the BOD, rather than having
to explain (for the umpteenth time) who we are, what we're doing, why we're
doing it, and yes, it IS allowed.
