Does anyone have any good advice for introducing a 2 year old whippet
(Ludwig) to a cat, and how exactly you tell whether the dog will ever tolerate
a
cat as a family member? Our local greyhound rescue says they have a
reliable way of "cat testing" the greys that come in and can figure out which
ones will and will not handle living with a cat, but I'm not sure if this can
be
safely done at home with a rescued cat.

We are considering adopting a cat as a companion for Ludwig, who continues
to grieve the loss of our older whippet even after several months. My husband
loves cats and we'd like to bring one into our family but Ludwig has never met
a cat and has a very high prey drive. Is this crazy? Can this be done safely?
We don't want to endanger a cat in any way.

Thank you very much for any advice/experience you can share,
Christiaen
