Greetings to all the hounds and handlers who read this missive from HL Randwulf aet Blacwulveslea, Kingdom Marshal of the Hunt, Trimaris. On February 12, the Barony of Darkwater held Trident Tourney at Brandon Camp Rotary in Tampa. Coursing was held at 9 a.m. out on the peninsula. Two hounds coursed, Yagger and Bella. HL Randwulf was the Luremaster. The course was 112 paces. There were about 12 people who watched, including a small group that was setting up for archery. The course was run counter-clockwise for the first four runs. The fifth run was reversed to clockwise, and the hounds were to run as a brace (in twos.) However, Bella showed some confusion at the cry of "Tally Ho!" and turned around in expectation of running the left-hand turn route. HL Randwulf continued to run the lure, in hope she would see it and get back on course. She wondered around confused for a little bit and did not realize where the lure had gone until it was nearly at the end point with Yagger coming after it. A humorous end to the day's coursing. Bella received the only injury. She appearently got a line cut between two knuckles on one paw. HL Randwulf washed the wound out with saline and applied a triple anti-biotic ointment. He advised Cathy, Bella's handler, that when they got home, she should wash the wound more thoroughly, apply more ointment, and put a sock over the paw to keep dirt out. Baron Heinrich von Holtzpritzer offered to donate a measuring wheel to the Trimarian Coursing College to measure the length of our courses. I will pick it up between now and Gulf Wars and take it to Gulf Wars, if HL Samira is inclined to use it. Respectfully submitted, HL Randwulf aet Blacwulveslea Kingdom Marshal of the Hunt, Trimaris
