I helped start coursing in Trimaris, and recently rewrote the charter. I
can lend you assistance in many areas. Our charter is based off the Middle
Kingdom charter with one difference, we are a part of the Marshallette, not
Arts and Sciences. If you like, I can send you a copy of our new charter.
Our basic etiquette and general rules (Section 5 of our charter.) can be
found online at http://trimaris-coursing.freeservers.com/about.html .
AEthelmearc's policies are available at
http://www.angelfire.com/pa5/aethelmearc_coursing/policies.html .
Artemisia also has it's charter
http://www.artemisia.sca.org/stables/houndsGCharter.htm and rules online.

There is no one way to set up your coursing guild/college, and will most
likely change as your program grows. Currently in Trimaris, we are set up
as a college, with the Kingdom Marshal of the Hunt in charge. The KMotHunt
is a very administrative position, keeping track of Handler and Lure Master
authorizations, shot records, reporting, meetings, scheduling and
coordinating events. The KMotHunt may take as many deputies as he needs to
assist with any or all of these tasks. (If we grow significantly next year,
I may create regional deputies.) Regardless of who does the work, the
KMotHunt is still ultimately responsible. There is a named deputy position,
the Houndsmaster/mistress of the Queen's Pack. This person is in charge of
the Queen's Pack, its' members, the Kingdom Kennel Lands, and all relations
between TRM and the College.

As for funds, in our first year, we put in a request to the Kingdom
Exchequer for funds to buy our pulleys and drive unit. Since then we have
held fund raisers to buy other items, including a basic turn-out. We are
currently looking to hold another fund raiser this year to update our
turnout and maybe get a couple more pulleys.

I hope this helps,

cave canum,
Randwulf
Kingdom Marshal of the Hunt, Trimaris
