Several years ago at Gulf Wars, I taught a class about dog carts. Those of you who took my class may find this vintage photograph of greyhounds hitched to a wagon to be interesting. It is a cabinet photograph, probably taken in the late 19th century. It shows two dogs which appear to be Greyhounds. The Greyhounds are hitched to a child's wagon.
The picture showed up in an Ebay auction, Item number: 6158078443. The auction is completed, but the the photograph is still worth viewing. <http://imagehost.vendio.com/bin/viewimage.x/00000000/indjohnson/dogs cabcard1.jpg?sp=1> <http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? There are two teams hitched to dog sulkies with little boys driving. One team is a pair of Greyhounds. The other team is a pair of Great Danes. My photograph dates from the same period as the Greyhound wagon photograph. I think I posted the greyhound sulky race photograph in the Photograph section of this list.
