And smiling. Don't forget smiling. We unfortunately had a dog bounce because he was a smiler. We tried to convince the people that his big grin with all his teeth showing accompanied by the madly wagging tail meant he was happy but they were intimidated by it and scared.
Then there is sleeping with their eyes open. I tell people to make sure to call the dogs name to make certain he is awake before petting them as some of them have sleep agression and have never been touched while they are sleeping.
