My farm (1239) is having issues and so far I've been unable to resolve them. If I do an nslookup on my domain from my local machine or from one of the scalr instances, it shows the correct ip address for my www instance. However, the domain is not working when I go to the domain url. When I go to the ip address of either the www or app instance, the site comes up ok. Bizarre. I need this fixed asap, but have no idea where to start.
I've been tweaking my nginx.conf file which is where my farm first started acting up. I've since restored the original nginx.conf file and it still not working correctly. I noticed that in the role editor, both the www and app instances have a tab called parameters that contain information on virtual host templates. Are we supposed to edit the settings there instead of using the apache/nginx configuraiton files? Do those settings override changes to the standard configuraiton files? Sifting through my error log, I did notice an error on the app instance: i-2fafca46/instance-up.sh Could not retrieve SSL private key file for virtual host https. I tried changing the settings on the parameters tab for that role and it now matches the location of my ssl key, but the error is still happening.
