Virginia, Thanks for attending the meetings and contributing your ideas at the public forum. I would also like to reference some information that I have since come across (that is contrary to one item I proposed). Part of my presentation suggested the possibility of moving the fifth graders back to the grade schools. The location of the fifth graders has been somewhat controversial, but listed below are two research articles from the National Middle School Association that generally support the notion of including fifth graders as part of the middle school concept.
