First off, I've been trying to get new versions of the prefpane
installer together with the latest SchoolTool and SchoolBell, but I've
been running into various snafus.  Coming soon...

OK, Installing Zope separately is unnecessarily, as
SchoolTool/SchoolBell ship currently ship with their own version of

The prefpane installer includes its own Python as well as Zope (and
yes, now that we're on our new site, I'm finally updating the
docs...).

If you're a school, probably not.  If you want to schedule resources
in sync with the start and end times of classes, that'll be easier
with SchoolTool.

The difference is that the SchoolBell source package is trying to use
your version of Python (which doesn't have libxml2 bindings installed)
rather than the one tha comes with the prefpane package, which uses
its own Python, which includes libxml2.
