At <http://issues.schooltool.org/issue447> msg1431 vidas observes that the issue "is still not fixed in schooltool-0.11.x".

I note the correspondence below, which relates to issue 354. At one point I thought that issue 447 was a duplicate of 354, but now I'm not so sure.

1) A question to Tom (or anyone with relevant expertise):

Is issue 447 specific to Mac OS?

2) A question to the wider community:

What's the prospect of a resolution?

Users being locked out of their own calendars is a show-stopper for us ...

Whilst I don't have the expertise to tackle the issue myself I will do whatever I can, under guidance, to test any fixes.

TIA for any advice.

Subject: Re: [schooltool] site-wide & calendar-only viewing

[snip]

Well, that's definitely a bug: http://issues.schooltool.org/issue354

So... aggregating other calendars into the site-wide calendar isn't a
feature we'll be adding through funded development. The bug we should
be able to fix in short order.

OK, ignas fixed the bug today. We'll have a bugfix release once a few
more bugs have turned up. In the meantime, you can just download the
corrected file:
http://source.schooltool.org/svn/branches/schoolbell-1.2.x/src/ schoolbell/app/configure.zcml

You should replace the file src/schoolbell/app/configure.zcml with the one linked above. that should solve the problem.

(I'm not sure whether/how that solution is applicable to the Preference Pane for Mac OS. Nor am I sure whether it's a solution to issue 447.)
