A nice feature would be the ability to preview (1 button click) databases
(pgn/scid) as chessbase light 2009 has. I just navigate through its file
explorer and click on any database file and the bottom pane shows the games
contained in the db.
Visually it looks very clean (far superior to file finder which seems
useless to me): There is a left pane with folders, drives, shortcuts,
favorites. The right has two panes: the top will show the actual databases
in the folder chosen on left. The bottom pane shows the files in the db that
I select

This is very useful for me in folders with a lot of junk pgn files - I dont
know which are useful are not unless I see whats inside.

I had to use chessbase light to do this.. And then use SCID to import the
files i needed.
Also useful, would be the ability to import a directory of pgn games (though
of course the multiple select import would work too)
And of course autoupdate of twic db as the fork chessdb does would be nice.

The other thing is SCID really needs more documentation and explanation of
features. I have only very recently discovered the features it already has

But its definitely a great program - I love it!
