Hi Thanks a lot! Now I've had the chance to try this import.tcl version out, and for the intended purpose it works like a charm! I also tried to see what happens if you try to open a zipped PGN-file directly with this version of scid - it's no catastophy, but it's certainly not good! But the again that was not the intended use. It might be smart to prevent Scid from trying to do something really foolish, but then again there's no law against thinking for yourself! The one thing I haven't tried, and that might be a real problem is the behaviour towards a ZIP-file which does not contain a PGN-file, a ZIP-file which contains more than one PGN-files or a ZIP-file which contains a PGN-file together with one or more other files (CB-generated PGN-files are accompanied by rather useless INI-files for instance). But for the intended purpose zipped TWIC-files (and zipped ChessToday monthly databases) it works perfectly! mvh Palle Bratholm
