Closest to what you want to achieve is the bookmark feature. (File / 
Bookmarks or the button in the iconbar). With this you can set a 
bookmark manually to the exact game/move where you left off. Does this 
help you?

I think, what you suggest would be to place some sort of "autobookmark" 
once you close Scid and that is reopened. I'm not sure that this is wise 
given that you might end up in a pretty large database (using quite some 
time to load) while you just wanted to check a PGN. That is, I'm not 
sure that autoloading is really wise probably autobookmarking would be, 
I'm not sure either.
