Hi all,

Seeing the changes that are being made to Scid these days, I was
wondering what people do:

* download the latest version from the CVS repository and compile it
replacing the previous one

or

* keep the version provided by your distribution (4.2.1 in Mint 9 for
me) and a separate "testing" Scid.

In the second case, how do you do it? just changing BINDIR and
SHAREDIR paths before make and make install?

On a side note, I'm really pleased to see the activity in the list in
the last weeks.

Thanks in advance.
