Yes, the answer is "no". > As to the use case: Is this a one-time effort only? Well, for a CC games base I could imagine that it makes some sense, indeed. Games are slow, one could imagine some sort of "live transmission" that way. Chris, is this your intention? > Implementing your suggestion is pretty much trivial, but it would add > another option/button, since I am not sure we all like what you need. Agree. IMHO the usecase should definitely be clear. For CC it might be ok, as mentioned above and I could easily add a wandering D NAG. The other area where I think it would be ok is for auto analysis to add the D-Nag to the final position. For manual annotations I'm however not so sure. The question would be if a "autodiagram" function is sensible, running over a whole filter and adding diagrams say at any n moves plus the final position. German "SchachZeitung e.g. uses such a style in their analysis part: They just print out a diagram every two or three full moves. They argue, that a player who can't play entirely blindfold or isn't that strong in visualisation can actually read the reports without a board necessary. (I agree on that reasoning.) So it might be sensible if someone want's to publish a Clubs magazine or the like. cu Alexander ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Learn how Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) One Node allows customers to consolidate database storage, standardize their database environment, and, should the need arise, upgrade to a full multi-node Oracle RAC database without downtime or disruption http://p.sf.net/sfu/oracle-sfdevnl _______________________________________________ Scid-users mailing list Scid-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/scid-users
