Yes, I mean this feature. I do not think it comes with the compiled
versions of Scid for Win and Mac.

Someone who does not know about LaTeX should find it strange that Scid
does not come with a Print function.

In any case, the easiest solution is by far Alex's, which we could
paraphrase thus:

1. Copy the Current position's FEN (Edit/Copy Position or CTRL-SHIFT-C)
2. Go to a web service that generates diagrams from FEN strings, e.g.
http://webchess.freehostia.com/diag/
3. Paste the FEN and generate the diagram
4. Save or print your diagram.

To speed step 2, one could create a bookmark for the URL that
generates a diagram, e.g.

http://webchess.freehostia.com/diag/chessdiag.php?theme=smart&size=large&fen=[YOUR
FEN HERE]

Under Firefox, one could add a keyword, like "fen"

Then the step becomes:

2. Open Firefox and enter "fen", then copy your FEN at the end.

Some comments:

C1. Perhaps "Copy Position" is a bit unclear.
C2. This is the kind of explanation that is better solved using a 20
seconds video.
C3. I can't reproduce Alex's solution with "fen <SHIFT-INS>" in one stroke.
