If you have someone who does it no one will prevent him to do so. There

Anyway, a straight port is probably nearly impossible due to Apples
policies on i<Something>. Things would ease up a bit if there'd just be
Tcl/Tk running on top of iOS. Then still you'd have a bunch of work to
adopt Scid for the small screen, but at least you'd not have to redo it
entirely. AFAIK there is no Tcl/Tk, AFAIK it is not possible to have it
due to restrictions by Apple, so you're out of luck at this end and have
to redo almost everything. Probably one could port the backend with some
effort if the iOS SDK allows for C++.

For the time being you could switch to Android and use "Scid on the go"
by Gerd Kalab. Works nicely and integrates very well e.g. with
Stockfish. Still, Scid on the go is not strictly a port either. Its
really done from ground up (reusing many parts of the Stockfish Android
GUI) and "only" ports reading of Scids db format. This is then exposed
as data source to other Android apps. A concept that is not even
available in the normal Scid.
So you see, going from a real PC to such a mobile device isn't that
easy. Unfortunately. Best chances are IMHO @android tablets as they're
based on open source Linux and with a bit better licensing than Apples
stuff.
