The menus in your screenshot are very similar to some i've used in fluxbox 
(which is related to openbox), So perhaps you'll find lots of complicated 
options to mess with in the openbox config files. From the openbox wiki, it 
appears the config files are in "~/.config/openbox". There also apperas a 
openbox config tool called "ObConf"

It's also possible but UNLIKELY your operating system has some custom resource 
attributes/files somewhere. Messing with these things is even harder, but have 
a look in /etc/X11/Xresources or in the X man page under "RESOURCES"

This is all i can think of.
