Hello.

I'm a Mac user and I use Scid 4.3 to manage chess
databases on my MacBook (2.3 Ghz Intel Core i7, 8 GB RAM, Mac OS X
10.6.8).

In particular, I have a large database that I constantly
update with the latest games. For some days this is not possible. As
soon as I open the menu "Import file pgn games", an error occur. This is
the log:

bad directory "/Users/costantino/Desktop/SCID/MyGames"
bad
directory "/Users/costantino/Desktop/SCID/MyGames"
 while
executing
"tk_getOpenFile -multiple 1 -initialdir $::initialDir(pgn)
-filetypes $ftypes -title "Import from PGN files" "
 (procedure
"importPgnFile" line 24)
 invoked from within
"importPgnFile"
 (menu
invoke)

Can someone explain me what happened, and especially how can I
fix it?

Another strange thing is that in the SCID menu the item
"Preferences" is not available ...

Thanks to all.
Costantino
