I believe the idea of merging scidvspc into scid is an excellent
idea. I'm surprised that Fulvio does not appreciate the logic behind
Steve's move. In the end it is plain to see that this benefits
*everyone*. Scid today works fine. But after comparing it with scidvspc, the differences demonstrate the benefits of having an actively developed program. In time, most scid users would have migrated to scidvspc anyway given the variations in improvements, bugs, and features. So here's a couple of recommendations: - Change the name to SCIDBase after the merge (I know this ain't happening, but I can dream) - Accept donations (This may have kept the original scid project healthy enough) Alan. |
