I'm English, play chess (about 1900), can code in Tcl/Tk a bit of C and C++, I
design and tune databases for a living, I speak Spanish (I live in Argentina).
I've never been involved in an open source project but would be happy to help
out in any way.

There has been a lot of complains recently on the mailing-list for the
lack of development so you should be happy to know that there will be
soon some new releases.
However this is a GPL community project, so if you're using scid (for
free, should i remember this to all the haters?) and you like it, this
is your chance to give something back!
In particular:
- if you are a chess fan, a scid user and a good english speaker it
would be nice to add to sourceforge website a section with some updated
tutorial video like this:

- if you are a designer or website builder scid website is in a urgent

website a section for articles on how to use scid to study and improve
your chess (if you have read "Secrets of Practical Chess" by John Nunn
i'm thinking about the chapters he wrote on how to use chessbase)
