Hi!

I just committed a first version of correspondence chess support to the
scid2 cvs at SourceForge.

Besides the addtional correspondence chess functionality I'm currently
working on I also did some of the menue restructuring we discussed here
shortly. Mainly I introduced a "Play" menue (better words welcome) on
scid's top level. This menue currently looks like this:

Play
        Serious Game
        Tactical Game
        Internet Game
        -------------
        Training
        -------------
        Correspondence Chess

Note that correspondence chess is under development. For email chess I
added support for the following (GUI) mail programs:

- Mozilla Mail, Thunderbird, Icedove and descencents
- Evolution and descendants
- Sylpheed Claws and descendants
- mailx, nail, mutt and similar

There might be an issue with the pre filled mail body in Claws 2.x, but
this can also be a bug in Debians version only. (Seems that Claws 2 can
not handle multiline body= commandlines. Claw 1 does this without
problems here.)

Also I added support for Xfcc (SchemingMind and alike), but as my Xfcc
tools are currently in Perl I do not really want to add them to scids
cvs unless we decide that Perl is ok for all. But of course I can
provide them to those interested.

Hoping that all the above works for you as it does for me ;)

My next steps will be to add NLS for the Correspondence Chess module
within the dialogs, the menue items are done. Translators wanted for all
languages except english and german.

Comments welcome, but it might be a bit difficult to use at the moment
as I did not have the time to write any docs at all. Of course you can
RTFS, but well ;) Key point is that you open a DB of type
"Correspondence" which is used for syncing games into. But as it might
get a bit involved I refer you to the docs that will be provided as soon
as I've some time to jot them down.

Cory: it seems (as strange as it looks) that on the Mac the way to
handle eMail chess is by means of mailx. At least I did not find any
information concerning GUI applications on the Mac. Probably you try the
modes available for other mailers. Evolution is likely to work as it
uses mailto:-syntax also used for Web email.
