The idea to place Training right away into a submenu was

Well this is true. At the moment. Don't know how that will
develop. Till now scid never offered any playing features.
Anyway if you just look at Fritz "New game" submenue... But
it's only a suggestion anyway. I admit that having the
trainings functionality in a submenue was just easy as they
where there already and it made sense to me.

I'll look into this but for the time beeing its at least
workable. Perl is there on any decent unix so it's not a
real issue there and probably there's also a volunteer here
who wants to add some lines?

Not knowing wether you want to include it already, so it
currently gets commented out by configure. Maybe Makefile is
not a good thing in the cvs?

Hm, well I did not look at this. I'll rename it. inputengine
starts with lower case. Just in cvs.
